Arguments between family members over a loved one’s things occur frequently. It can get so terrible that those who are intended to receive may disagree.
A woman related a story about her mother and the present she left behind after her death.
However, while she was always there for her mother, her greedy brother and aunts only visited when they needed something, which was generally money to pay their expenses.
“As my mother’s condition deteriorated, one aunt approached her “contacts” to assist her in finding a new home. My mother had a real estate firm. “They were so cheeky,” the woman commented.
Sadly, her mother passed away.
The woman remembers when her mother’s will was scheduled to be read. Her brother, aunts, and the lawyer for her late mother were all sitting in the room, which resembled a scenario from a Hallmark movie.
“As the lawyer dropped the bomb, I drank weak tea from a cracked teacup. My mother saved a large sum of money—approximately $5 million—and wanted to give it to my brother and aunts. I forced down my drink, trying to figure out what was going on. Since I did not receive anything. Zip. Nada.”

Tears began to fall from her eyes, and mascara landed on her skirt. Her brother and aunts couldn’t keep the grin off their faces.
