The haunting final images of a young South Korean boy staring out of the window are now going viral.
The young victim was moments away from his destiny including a horrifying plane crash at Muan International Airport that took the lives of 179 passengers.
The victim was a three-year-old child who was the youngest on board the flight to perish in the disaster. He was reportedly returning home from a holiday with his parents by his side.
The Jeju Airline skidded off the runway at the Muan Airport before slamming into a giant concrete barrier which then led to him bursting into flames.
The incident took place on Sunday after the landing gear failed to get deployed. Almost all of the 181 passengers aboard the Boeing aircraft were killed. Only two members of the cabin crew including a man and a woman were pulled out of the wreckage alive.
More reports spoke about how five of the victims of the tragedy were below the age of 10. Many were holiday travelers from South Korea who were returning home.
Investigations are still taking place to try and determine how a bird strike caused the landing gear to fail and why the pilot chose to land the plane at full speed towards the middle of the runway, due to which it fell short of land and rammed into the airport’s outer concrete wall.
