Deion Sanders Only Had One-Word To Describe His Son, Shedeur Sanders, After The QB’s Sensational Performance In Colorado’s Opener

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders had one word for his son Shedeur Sanders’ performance against North Dakota State on Thursday night.

The Buffaloes opened their campaign with a win, fighting back from a halftime deficit to win 31-26. Shedeur had an impressive outing, completing 26 of his 34 pass attempts for 445 yards, four touchdowns, and one bizarre interception.

The quarterback showed how good he can be with a decent offensive line, something he did not have at his disposal last season.

His father thought he was “excellent.”

“The offensive line did a great job protecting our quarterback, and our quarterback was excellent,” Coach Prime said after the game, per Athlon Sports.

Deion Sanders Will Rue Defensive Mistakes But Can Rely On His Two Offensive Stars

The QB did not have a perfect game and made a questionable decision after Colorado got a pass interference call, throwing the ball with under two minutes left. But, as his dad said, he still had an excellent game overall.

Travis Hunter also had a remarkable outing, playing on both sides of the ball and only sitting out for two plays. The wide receiver/cornerback made seven receptions for 132 yards and three touchdowns, displaying a near-telepathic link-up with Shedeur.

The CU stars connected for a 13-yard TD pass in the third quarter to give the Buffs a 24-20 lead. They made another crucial play together to put them up by 11 thereafter.

Deion Sanders will hope to improve on the 4-8 record Colorado got last season. They did show a lack of discipline on the defensive end they cannot afford to repeat against tougher opposition.

But if Shedeur and Travis keep playing at such a level, the Buffs will continue to be a threat.
