In fact, the Vanderpump Rules alum—who dated Kennedy from 2013 to 2015—only needed one as she shared her reaction to her ex’s recent domestic violence arrest on her Instagram Stories Dec. 12. In the post, Doute included an article detailing the incident while cryptically writing, “Finally.”
Earlier in the day, E! News confirmed Kennedy, 32, was arrested Dec. 10 after the Burbank Police Department responded to a report of an argument between the reality star and an unnamed woman. He was booked for misdemeanor domestic violence and later posted bail, though formal charges are pending review, according to authorities.
Hours before the incident, Kennedy attended the DIRECTV holiday party at Kathy Hilton’s Beverly Hills home alongside Ally Lewber, his girlfriend of nearly two years.
E! News has reached out to reps for Kennedy and Lewber for comment and has not heard back.
Days prior, Lewber addressed the status of their relationship amid the Bravo series’ recently-announced cast shake-up.
“We’ve been the best that we’ve ever been,” she told the New York Post in an interview published Dec. 8. “And I think it probably has to do with the fact that we haven’t been filming in a while.”
Lewber, 28, even admitted she was looking forward to stepping out of the reality TV spotlight.
“I’m excited to just kind of let our relationship almost breathe and not have the pressure [of filming],” she continued. “I think it’ll be nice to just feel like we have some privacy and, like, [we] can actually focus on us.”
As for Kennedy—who started appearing on the Bravo show in season two before becoming a main cast member in season four—he shared a more emotional reaction to the news that the reality TV staple was moving in a new direction.
“I can’t lie, I’m holding back some tears as I write this,” he wrote in an Instagram post in November. “It’s been a pleasure being a part of Vanderpump Rules and filling your TV screens with our lives over the past decade. I’ve dedicated my life to this show and I’m forever grateful to everyone who tuned in.”
