VIDEO: ESPN Broadcaster Sean McDonough Took A Nasty Shot At The Mike Tyson-Jake Paul Fight While Insulting Clemson’s Offense vs. Pitt

On Saturday, the Clemson Tigers barely squeaked by the Pittsburgh Panthers, winning 24-20. However, broadcaster Sean McDonough seems to have had much higher expectations for the Clemson offense.

During the fourth quarter, the game was tied at 17-17 with six minutes left, and Clemson facing a second and fourth. McDonough said as they got into the huddle, “I think Mike Tyson landed more punches last night than Dabo Swinney’s offense has here in the 2nd half.”

Going into the game, the Tigers ranked in the top 10 for offensive yards and in the top 15 for points per game, so it would have been a fair assumption that the offense would produce more than it had.

Pitt isn’t a defensive powerhouse either, giving up over 350 yards per game and 225 total points.

Sean McDonough Is Also A Baseball Announcer

During the college football season, McDonough is the lead play-by-play commentator for games on ESPN, but during the MLB season, he works for the Boston Red Sox.

He currently works as a member of the team’s radio broadcast team and was on television for the team from 1988 to 2004.

It’s a rare combination in announcers, as they often stick to one sport.
