An NFL legend’s personalized vacation retreat in Montana is going up for auction this month

Last year, Drew Brees teamed up with Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters to design an upscale mountain retreat in northwest Montana, about 13 miles north of Whitefish. Initially planning to build a primary residence on the site, the former NFL quarterback decided to list a completed guesthouse for nearly $8 million at the start of the year.

The price has since dropped to $7.5 million, and with the property still unsold, listing agent Sean Averill of PureWest Christie’s International Real Estate is now auctioning the entire 20-acre estate in the exclusive Homestead community through Concierge Auctions. Bidding is expected to start between $2 million and $4 million. The listing notes that the property includes multiple building sites, allowing the new owner to create their own dream estate.
