(VIDEO)Tim Conway Starts The ‘Interrogation’ And No One Can Hold In Their Laughter

Lyle Waggoner is being interrogated by German soldiers, played by Harvey Korman and Tim Conway, and we can not stop giggling. This is typical Tim Conway, people! Thank god for YouTube, which functions as a veritable global museum of film and television history.

Carol Burnett, Tim Conway, and Harvey Korman were professionals at tickling America’s funny bone. Their distinct style of crazy, farcical, and slapstick humor is still as amusing today as it was when the show first aired. The CBS sketch comedy and musical variety show was so famous over its eleven seasons that it was a common joke in the TV business at the time to say CBS stood for Carol Burnett Show.

Recorded in front of a live studio audience, part of the excitement was hearing the audience’s loud laughter at each punchline. Carol added intimacy to the show by speaking with her admirers on-camera between skits, and she always accepted at least one audience member’s request to perform her famed Tarzan shout.

Throughout its 279-episode run, the sitcom won 25 Emmys and eight Golden Globes. Carol Burnett has won more People’s Choice Awards than any other actress, and Time magazine named her popular series one of the best 100 television shows of all time.

The show ran from 1967 to 1978, with 279 episodes, and returned with nine new episodes in 1991. It also spawned a spinoff sitcom, Mama’s Family, in which Vikki and Harvey reprised two of their recurring characters from the Carol Burnett Show.

When Tim pulls out the puppet, Lyle looks like, “I knew I should have called in sick.” At 6:37, Lyle begins to lose it. This skit could be the only time Lyle ever broke up. Tim Conway will always be regarded as one of the greatest comic artists of all time. Do not miss the hilarious sketch in the video below.
